I was engaged as production manager on the the John Abercrombie/ Julian Arguelles tour (thick skinned productions). I enjoyed the tour very much and was extremely pleased to see John performing for & entertaining audiences in the UK again.

I went to four shows by Breabach and Le Vent du Nord on their recent Tune Up tour. Leaflets about the tour were given out at Celtic Connections, at the end of their first concert (great idea!) and the other shows I saw were well-attended. The shows themselves were great and the final show, in Peebles at the Eastgate Theatre, was absolutely superb. Thank you so much for supporing traditional music and, in particular, this collaboration between Scotland and Quebec. We hadn't seen Breabach before, but love Le Vent du Nord's music: to see the latter perform more than just at Celtic Connections was great and we have gained the music of Breabach as a result! So, thank you and we hope you will continue to support such great bands and bring them to a wider audience than may otherwise be the case.

I went last night and felt that the concert was excellent - the two new commissions (Nigel Osborne and Shirish Korde) although very different were brilliant - there was some phenomenal playing from everyone but Tristan from Edinburgh Quartet, Simon, Jyotsna Srikanth on Karnatica fiddle and Sarvar Sabri were outstanding - some of the best playing and possibly the best tabla player I have ever seen!

We had the Nava Rasa Ensemble 'Inner Octaves' tour here on Sunday. Both as promoter and audience member would like to say that this was an absolutely outstanding concert, and the best use of Tune Up funding since the late, much lamented Billy Kelly sent us the Erik Truffaz Quartet. Thanks to Tune Up and the other funders, it gave our audience a chance to see world class musicians at a fee a Highland village hall can afford (albeit with some funding help). I see a lot of great music and great musicians, but this was of a different order altogether. As one audience member said on the way out, 'that was the gig of a lifetime'. Thank you!

I was writing today because I went to see the Session A9 gig in Farr on Friday 5 June 2009 and I understand that you support this tour for them by helping fund it. I just wanted to say that it was an excellent show and it’s wonderful to hear and see traditional music played with such passion and flare, particularly in such an intimate setting. It was also lovely that the guys came out at the interval and had a chat with the audience as they wandered about, and sold their CDs personally. The human touch is missing from so many bands nowadays and so you should be proud to have helped this band get out and about and perform as they were clearly all born to do. One of the best gigs I've ever had the pleasure to experience.

Session A9, Carnegie Hall, Clashmore, June 12th. I drove my motorcycle 200 miles to see this band and they were well worth every mile. So tight and talented that the evening flew in. It's so nice to go to small places like Clashmore with their unique atmosphere to see real quality artists. Thanks Tune Up,keep doing what you are doing. You are enriching and entertaining many many peoples lives.

Stairwell Sisters - Carnegie Hall, Dunfermline Absolutely brilliant gig. I go to concerts regularly and have seen many different acts, but this ranks up there among the best. The energy, fun, musicianship and downright good fun was outstanding. Please bring this group back again.

This is a great idea to keep live music available to all, no matter how remote their location - after all, everyone needs music in their lives in some form or another! Keep up the good work.

Julian Arguelles gig in Inverness was fantastic, it's good to see the Scottish Arts Council support jazz.

Delighted to see the Tune Up podcasts being represented at the Digital Music Awards. About time Scottish music got some recognition, looking forward to seeing what's in the next year of tours too. Anything great coming to Oban?

Thank you all so much for a great evening in Birnam last night! We met Mike, Bruce and Gerry at the Blackford fiddle workshop in the Tolbooth on Saturday, which was great - thanks. For us aspiring fiddlers going to a fantastic concert can be inspirational, uplifting and motivating, or just make you want to burn your fiddle and top yourself! Happily last night was inspirational! Hope you continue to have fun on the rest of the tour, and that maybe we'll see you again one day.

I attended the Burnsong concert in Aberdeen last night. What a superb concert by an eclectic group of talented musicians. The concept is very successful in terms of delivering quality songs.

An informative clear layout and good feedback from concert goers make this site an invaluable asset for the touring musician. Thank you.

I'm a local of Tayvallich in Argyll so of course I was at Breabach's opening gig of their tour. It was totally amazing because as we are quite a small village we don't get to see really good bands too often! They were great and I think we have a great venue so if you can could you please send more of your amazing artists our way!!! Thanks!! :)

Sounds like a great idea, we hope to bring Brazil to Scotland.

Just to say thanks for supporting the tinariwen tour. I was lucky enough to be at the Queens Hall show, and it turned out to be one of the very best of many shows that I've attended at this unique venue. The sound is captivating, spellbinding and utterly timeless. The fact that the lyrics were incomprehensible to the audience made no difference to the overall effect, the many voices merely became instruments in the overall sound. These guys rock the tent!

Tinariwen in Inverness on Tue 27th March were really outstanding. Thanks, Anne.
