Tune Up: About
Feedback on Tune Up
Great feedback coming in re concert... "When are they coming back" is the main question. My thanks to you and its much appreciated by the community to have such celebrated musicians performing in the local area. We are indebted to the funders for making it all possible.

Tune Up is an initiative of the Scottish Arts Council to support music touring in Scotland. It is funded by National Lottery as was established in 2003 to bring high quality live music to communities the length and breadth of the country.
Particular emphasis of the programme is unique artistic collaborations and imaginative proposals for touring to the more remote parts of the country or those that do not usually benefit from a varied range of the highest quality live music. It also enables Scottish and international artists to visit and be inspired by new parts of Scotland and to interact with new local audiences.
The scheme is now in its fourth year and previous tours have included artists such as: Eddi Reader, the Battlefield Band, The Delgados, Michael McGoldrick, Hebrides Ensemble, Trashcan Sinatras, Renaud Garcia Fons, Akio Suzuki & John Butcher, Jaipur Kawa Brass Band Phil Bancroft Quartet and The Unusual Suspects.
It has toured artists to: Orkney, Skye, Strontian, Livingston, Paisley, Pilton, Dunfermline, Melrose, Tobermoray, Wick, Dumfries, Kilmardinny, Dunkeld, Banchory, Findhorn, Peebles, Glenfarg, Thurso, Stornoway, Strathpeffer, Castle Douglas, Glenuig, Craignish, Alness, Ullapool, Glenrothes, Lerwick, Drumnadrochit, Durness, Wormit, Spey Bay and Hamilton as well as to Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, Perth, Stirling, Aberdeen and St Andrews.
Tune Up 2006-07 will bring some of the finest music - from traditional Scottish to contemporary classical, from jazz to world, and from rock & pop to site-specific experimental performances - live and direct to a town, village, island or even perhaps a disused building near you.
